Svea Adventures invites you to take part in a true Scandinavian Experience! We offer horseback riding vacations to the unexplored and wide open spaces of Scandinavia. Adventures range from comfortable farm rides through enchanted forests to wilderness pack trips high in the mountains.

Whether you're camping with dinner cooked over an open flame, or staying in quaint inns with home-cooked meals, all of our horseback adventures have one thing in common - the company of beautiful, sure-footed and trusty steeds.

We are committed to sustainable and ecological means of travel, and we do everything we can to support the local economy, environment and people. We believe that small group and low impact travel is the best way to experience the beautiful places we want to share with you through our trips.

2006 Horseback Adventures in Sweden:

Nordic Saga Horseback Adventure - 5 days/4 nights OR 7 days/6 nights - From $916/person: This horseback adventure takes place in southern Sweden's highlands - an area known for its mythology, fairy tales and legends - commonly referred to as Sweden's "Troll Belt".

High Coast Horseback Adventure - 5 days/4 nights - From $1520/person: Join us for a fantastic ride in the High Coast World Heritage Site. Our Icelandic horses takes us past fjords, across mountains, through secluded forests and along the open ocean.

Raven's Eye Horseback Adventure - 6 days/5 nights - From $1910/person: In the mountains of Jämtland, we saddle up for an expedition unlike any other, in an area that is often referred to as the Iceland of Sweden.

Accommodations

Accommodations are chosen based on character, location and local ownership. They range from quaint inns with shared bathrooms, to simple huts and cabins in the mountains or a nice camp spot in the woods.

Food

Meals are based on local ingredients and traditions. These are usually prepared for you by your guides or a local restaurant, but occasionally we invite you to take part in the preparation, learning about unique ways or ancient traditions.
