We depart at 9:00 a.m. and arrive back to the trialhead between 3-4 p.m. on the pack out day.
Our campsite is a three-hour horseback ride with a saddlebag lunch provided. Once at camp you are welcome to grab a rod and hit the stream, go for a trail ride, take a walk and experience some of our outdoor wildlife, or cozy up to the warm glow of an open campfire.
It's an experience of a lifetime to capture our famous Snake River Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout. This unusual and brilliant colored trout is native to the Jackson Hole area. Cutthroat trout are very active to the dry fly throughout the day. Dry flies such as Parachute Adams or Irrestibles and attractors like Humpies, Royal Wulff's and Stimulators always work well. Some fisherman like to run Droppers such as Bead Heads, Prince Nymphs and Hare's Ears to entice a larger trout that may be feeding below the surface.
Willow Creek's headwaters begin in the Wyoming mountain range on the south end of Jackson Hole. This beautiful mountain stream is a walking distance from our campsite. Whether you are an experienced angler or a novice, come join us in the thrill of catching the feisty Legendary Cutthroat Trout. We practice catch and release fishing trips to keep our trout population at its best. Our guides/wranglers are courteous, friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable in the mountains and with their surroundings.
On the way into camp your guide will show you points of interest, lush meadows filled with wildflowers, greenery, pine trees, and willows. Unusual and entertaining information is provided about the Wyoming Mountain Range. Never been horse back riding before? Your guide will fit you to your saddle and give you a few lessons so you feel comfortable with riding. Never been fly-fishing before? Our guides will help you with casting, reading the water and show you where the big ones hide out!
