Welcome to the Arnold family owned and managed Hotel and Riding Stables, Dunfanaghy County Donegal Ireland. The magnificent location of the hotel and Riding Stables overlooking Sheephaven Bay, and the golden sands of Killahoey Beach are just some of the spectacular attractions.
Guests will enjoy warm welcoming hospitality from the Arnold Family and staff, excellent cuisine using traditional family recipes using fresh local Irish produce. After dinner drinks can be enjoyed by the open turf fires in the Glenveagh Room and the Whiskey Fly Bar
The riding terrain in the area is ideal for riding through magnificent unspoiled scenery from mountains, lakes, and valleys and blanket bog to miles of unspoiled coastline with isolated sandy beaches and coves.
All our horses are trained by Helen and Niamh in at the stables which includes stamina training to enable them to deal with long distance rides. All levels of riders from beginner to advanced are welcome. We have 25 horses and ponies which range from Irish Hunters, Irish Cobs and Connemara Ponies. Our guests vary from families to individual travelers. The Riding Stables is conveniently located in the grounds of the hotel and is managed by Helen and John McDaid and their daughter Niamh who is an approved British Horse Society Instructor and an Equine Dentist. The Riding Centre is approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments the British Horse Society and the Irish Tourist Board. John is a Master Farrier and is also the holder of a Bord na gCapall Diploma in Farriery. Helen is an approved Riding Instructor with the British Horse Society and the Association of Irish Riding Establishments.

Accommodations
The hotel has 30 ensuite bedrooms with full central heating (bath and shower in each bedroom) direct dial telephone, colour television, hair dryers and complimentary hospitality tray with the facility to make coffee or tea. Room Types: Family Rooms, Double Room (double bed or two single beds) Twin bedded Rooms, Triple Rooms (Room with 3 singles or one double bed and one single bed) and Single bed Rooms.
A number of the bedrooms have views of Sheephaven Bay others overlook our mature gardens.
Food
The Seven Day Trail Riding Holiday Package includes 7 Nights Accommodation, 7 Full Irish Breakfasts, 7 Gourmet Dinners, 5 Packed or light Lunches and 5 Days Trail Riding accompanied by a Guide. Horse Riding Packages can also be tailored to suit the guest requirements and riding ability.
Guest will enjoy excellent food full of natural flavours and seasonings. The ingredients are sourced locally and we offer a wide variety of dishes especially seafood as well as vegetarian. Our home grown garden produce– gooseberries, blackcurrants, apples, rhubarb and pears are used in our home baking, jams and preserves. We also bake our own Irish Wheaten Bread, Scones and Shortbread.

Arnolds Hotel is located in the village of Dunfanaghy with a wide variety of Craft Shops and Art Galleries all within walking distance of the hotel. Killahoey Beach is just a stroll from the hotel set amidst the majestic scenery of Sheephaven Bay and Muckish Mountain which forms the natural backdrop to the village. Horn Head 7 Mile Scenic Drive with miles of spectacular walks has magnificent views of the Muckish to Errigal Mountain Range, the Rossguill Peninsula, New Lake, Tramore Beach, and the offshore Islands of Gola, Innisboffin and Tory. Horn Head is also a wildlife sanctuary and is home a wide variety of seabirds that can be spotted off the cliffs - Fulmar, Kittiwake, Cormorant and Oyster Catchers are just some examples. Nearby Ards Forest Park has miles of signposted walks through mature forests, isolated coves and miles of sandy beaches. The park is also a wildlife sanctuary with many species of birds, flora, fauna and red deer. Glenveagh National Park Castle and Gardens is set amidst 160000 hectares of mountains, bogs, lakes and forest with miles of scenic signposted walks. The park is also a Wildlife sanctuary with herds of red deer, many species of birds, most notably the Golden Eagle, a wide variety of plant life including the red and pink fuchsia which grow wild along the hedgerows as well as Rhodedandrums and many species of heather. The Castle and magnificent gardens are open to visitors during the summer months. The Atlantic Drive towering high above sea level has magnificent views of the Rossguill Peninsula. The Poison Glen, Dunlewey is set amidst the stark beauty of the glen and the River Clady and the Errigal to Muckish Mountain Range.

Airport
