Equitrekking Overview
Equitrekking is the Emmy Award-winning lifestyle television series that takes viewers on global travel adventures to experience culture, cuisine, history and adventure. Hosted by Darley Newman, Equitrekking broadcasts to 94% of the U.S. on PBS, on international networks in over 82 countries and on Create TV, Public Television's nationwide lifestyle channel.
Five-time Emmy nominated host and producer Darley Newman is a travel expert who searches the globe for the best horses and riding destinations. She created Equitrekking by combining her passion for horses and travel with her background in television. Darley is the author of the award-winning companion book Equitrekking Travel Adventures on Horseback published by Chronicle Books, a columnist for True West and Practical Horseman magazines and blogger. Darley also hosts and produces special Equitrekking segments broadcast on the Starz Network’s Encore Westerns Channel and on Ralph Lauren TV (RLTV).
Equitrekking.com, a perfect companion to the show, has been online since 2004 and features everything visitors need to research and plan their travels, including articles, the popular Equitrekking Vacation Guide and video clips. Equitrekking has extended its brand and outreach efforts through the new EquitrekkingTravel.com, which features exceptional equestrian vacations inspired by the Equitrekking TV series.

Equitrekking debuted on PBS in New Mexico during the summer of 2006 and made its national debut during the summer of 2007. In each episode of Equitrekking, host and equestrian travel expert Darley Newman leads viewers horseback riding around the world with local people to experience history, adventure and culture both in and out of the saddle.
