The Willamette Coast Ride is a six day, small, personal groups (2-8 riders) point-to-point “progressive” horseback riding vacation. The horseback holiday is inclusive of accommodation, meals, and transfers during the ride. Heading west, riders traverse the Coastal Range Mountains. These mountains are both rugged and mellow with many deciduous trees along the clear waters of the Nestucca river and towering Douglas firs. This is Oregon's old growth and working forest.

After the trek over the mountains, riders are rewarded with the experience of wild, expansive Pacific beaches with lots of room for a gallop. Riders and horses will then return to the Willamette Valley - Oregon's burgeoning wine country with hundreds of vineyards and fabulous tasting rooms with delicious food to go with it. We will ride the rolling vineyard land, see the vines up close and enjoy tasting the delicious fruits and labors of local, renowned wine makers-- experience riding in three distinct areas.

The Willamette Coast Ride has a wide variety of horses. They vary from Connemara, Connemara cross, Quarter horse and Quarter horse crosses, Mustang, Thoroughbred, Draft cross, Halflinger and Sporthorses; they are all ridden English and are well trained, excellent trail horses and more often than not, have talent in the arena as well. The Willamette Coast Riding Vacation strives to have well-rounded mounts that are happy to be out.

This riding holiday has a West Coast sense of adventure with a European feel. Come ride the Willamette Coast Ride!

Accommodations

Accommodations are in small inns, bed and breakfasts and vacation rental condos or homes at the beach, all with generous hospitality and a great feel for the Pacific Northwest. Upgrade to hotel and spa available for the Valley portion of the ride (three nights).
