Lone Mountain Ranch was first homesteaded as a working cattle ranch in 1915 and since then, generations of owners, guests and crew have been inspired by the love of this land to create the exceptional experience that this Montana guest ranch provides today. "Everything we do is guided by the principles of those who came before us, to add to the natural wealth we have inherited and to share with new generations what makes it so special."

The Ranch is a member of the National Dude Rancher’s Association, an Orvis® Endorsed Fly-Fishing Lodge and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the summer months, the Ranch offers guided horseback riding in the Gallatin National Forest, Lee Metcalf Wilderness and Yellowstone National Park, guided hiking, fly-fishing on many of the area’s many blue ribbon trout waters, an outstanding Kids Program (ages 4-18), canoeing trips and Yellowstone National Park tours. All of the dude ranch adventures are expertly guided by those who live in the area and call the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem home. This Montana guest ranch also has live music in the saloon and an amazing summer menu in their Dining Room.

The Ranch transforms into a winter wonderland December through March and is a favorite of winter enthusiasts. Voted as the #1 Nordic Ski Area in North America by Cross Country Skier magazine, the warm western hospitality, dependable snow, nearby Yellowstone National Park, meticulously groomed cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails, amazing food and experienced staff create an unrivaled Rocky Mountain experience. There is a plethora of day adventures including 85km of Nordic ski trails and 30km of snowshoe trails, moonlight dinner sleigh rides to North Fork Cabin in the woods, backcountry ski tours, snow coach trips into Yellowstone National Park, live music in the saloon, incredible Ranch cuisine in the Dining Lodge or Saloon, winter fly-fishing trips on the Gallatin or Madison Rivers and more!

Lone Mountain Guest Ranch hosts guests for 4 to 7 nights, offering an all-inclusive package with meals, accommodations in a cozy cabin or the Ridgetop Lodge and numerous activities in both winter and summer seasons.
