Featured in Equitrekking Southern Spain on PBS and Create TV and in host Darley Newman's column in Practical Horseman magazine.
The Epona equestrian centre is based in a 16th century olive Hacienda, which was visited by Miguel de Cervantes in his time as olive oil tax collector in and around Sevilla.
This historic hacienda has been operating as a holiday destination for over fifteen years. Before that the centre was a horse riding school and training centre for student instructors, preparing for British Horse Society and Spanish Federation exams.
Over the years this Spain riding vacation destination has built up an experienced team, both human and equine. They are one of the most prestigious classical dressage destinations in Europe.
It would be difficult to find another yard where there is such a huge number of high-school trained horses (over twelve to date) which are available to riders with a limited level of riding ability. These horses all have three good natural gaits, and perform lateral movements, Spanish Walk, piaffe, passage, canter changes in series (some of them, tempi changes), canter pirouettes, and all have excellent temperaments and patience with riders who have not had a chance to perform these movements before. Instructors are very conscientious and patient and have an incredible ability to pick up and correct rider faults due to their years of experience, teaching all levels of riders.
This dressage training vacation destination, also, is privileged to be associated with their visiting professor, Olympic Silver Medalist, Rafael Soto Andrade, who also assesses the progress of the horses for sale, in training with two resident master horse trainers, both graduates of the Royal School of Equestrian Art in Jerez.
This Spain equestrian vacation destination always have a variety of beautifully trained Andalusian horses (stallions, geldings and mares), for sale at very affordable prices, and offers a comprehensive program to assist potential buyers to find exactly the right horse.
