The beautiful location of Desperado Ranch is the perfect spot for your riding holiday vacation, as you are offered year-round riding activities not to be missed! Located in a small village, the ranch is set in the beautiful countryside of Yaniklar and is near to a sandy beach between Fethiye and Göçek.

Duran Yildiz and his wife Christine have owned the ISAM Horse Ranch Turkey or Desperado Ranch since 1997 and are happy to show their guests how much this region of Turkey has to offer for both the rider and non rider alike. The rural location offers a peaceful and tranquil holiday. 

The horses are well trained, quiet, and sure-footed, working well in all terrains covered. There are curently 10 saddled horses available for guests, varying in size from English Thoroughbreds to Quarter Horses.

Activities

Desperado Ranch offers a variety of horse riding activities suitable for nervous beginners through to intermediate riders. Riding holidays are available for children and adults, as these rides are suitable for couples, families, and small groups of friends. The week long Culture Trail Ride is most popular and includes a guided beach ride.

The area of Turkey in which you will ride is the ancient Lycian region. This area is a mecca for horse riders, walkers, botanists, and nature lovers of all kinds, with unspoiled forests, mountain trails, and secret paths down to the breathtaking beaches below. 

This is truly a riding adventure of a lifetime combined with meeting village people, culture and history in Turkey. Tours around Fethiye explore the vast natural land and also you will visit parts of the fantastic Lycian Way, known as one of the top ten walking paths in the world. Numerous Lycian tombs, ruins and monuments will be explored along your ride. The beautiful landscape has everything you would dream of seeing, from ancient towns, to craggy mountains, beautiful pine forests, wonderful coves, and impossibly blue seas.

Additional riding holidays are offered for adults and children, with week long treks, 2-3 day treks, and half-day or day-trips, with every evening back to the ranch. There are also horse awareness and riding lessons available at the Ranch for both adults and children, including led pony rides available for the younger children.

Accommodations

Accommodations will be provided at Desperado Ranch itself, in comfortable, light double-bedded rooms. There are four guest rooms at the ranch as well as an apartment, available with two rooms, including a bathroom and kitchen.

Food

Desperado Ranch offers tasty international and Turkish dishes, all home cooked and use fresh local products. Traditional Turkish dishes are served, along with lots of vegetables and soups as well as a variety of German influenced cuisine.

Area Attractions

Lots of cultural activities in Fethiye and around the area, including theater, museums, Lycian Way, Saklikent, and Pamukkale to name a few.

From April to the end of October, a variety of watersports are available because of the Ranch's vicinity to the nearby beach.
