Equitrekking Visits Tryon, North Carolina

Having heard about Tryon's great equestrian history and natural beauty, I'm excited to visit this North Carolina Community and connect with fellow horse lovers.

I have a fun Southern road trip coming up, taking me back to my home area of Myrtle Beach, through Columbia and up to Tryon, North Carolina. Come and see me!

I am excited to visit and tour the horsey and "friendly" town of Tryon in North Carolina on March 21st. I will be speaking at FENCE on the evening of March 21st at an event sponsored by Polk County Economic Development and Tourism and one of Equitrekking's newest sponsors 14 Hands Wines. There will be a 6 pm wine and cheese reception followed by a lecture presentation at 7 pm. I'll be talking about my adventures horse riding around the world and Equi-Tourism and its effect on local economies.

Tryon is located west of Interstate 26 that runs northwest to Asheville and southeast to Spartanburg, South Carolina approximately one mile from the NC/SC border. For more information on attending this event, contact: ljohnson@polknc.org or call 828-817-3753. Seating is limited.

In Myrtle Beach, I'll be among six wonderful women who are being honored as Inspiring Women at the Celebration of Inspiring Women. The Inspiring Women Awards were created as a lasting way to recognize the achievements of women who were born in South Carolina or who have adopted the Palmetto State as their home. Honorees reflect a diverse group of women from the arts, business, medicine, media, philanthropy and public service. The 2012 recipients include me and: Dr. Jeanne Fourrier, dentist, philanthropist, humanitarian; Patricia Harris, Global Chief Diversity Officer, McDonald’s Corporation LLC; Anne Worsham Richardson, artist, naturalist, lecturer; Brig. Gen. Velma Richardson, USA Retired, Business Development Principal, Information Systems and Global Services; Inez Tenenbaum, Chairman of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

I will also speaking about how I created my dream job and found fulfillment and how you can too at the 2012 Women's Leadership Conference on March 20th.
