Belmopan, Belize

BelmopanI was interested to drive through the capitol city of Belmopan on our way to the next destination. Belmopan is a really small city. There’s a colorful market, where fruit and smoothies and crafts are sold, right next to the bus station. Albert got us a smoothie, as we walked the market to check out the food and wares.

Belmopan consists of a grocery store, small, one story homes and lots of embassies, including a very big, new American embassy. It was interesting to think of this as a capitol city, because it is so tiny, but then again, Belize is a small Caribbean country.
